COST
Of the course cost
This is the insurance cost. If Pure cancels because of weather, our normal refund process applies. If you cancel for another reason, the claim is handled through Meetch.
If Pure cancels because of weather
If we cancel part of your course because the weather is not safe or suitable, Pure refunds 100% of the unused part of the course through our normal refund process.
If you need to cancel
Pure does not offer refunds if you cancel. If you bought Meetch cancellation insurance, you make the claim directly with Meetch and they decide the claim under the policy terms.
This is a plain-English guide to the common reasons people may need to cancel. Meetch still assesses each claim and will ask for proof, but this gives you a clearer picture before you read the full policy.
Injury, illness or death
For you, your partner, close family, a guardian, someone living under your roof, or certain people named at booking. This is the one that can matter if you injure yourself before the course, become seriously ill, or have a serious family emergency.
Family and caring issues
The policy can include serious problems affecting the person named to look after your children, or a disabled person living with you, if that person is hospitalised for more than 48 hours or dies. Pregnancy complications may also be included under the policy wording.
Work changes
Examples include an employer changing agreed paid leave, a non-disciplinary transfer that means you have to move, economic dismissal, or starting a new job or paid internship after being registered unemployed.
Travel disruption
This can include serious vehicle damage shortly before departure, a transport accident or breakdown that makes you miss a booked departure, or a carrier strike where you have no other way to reach the course.
Home or business emergency
Fire, water damage, damage caused by natural elements, or theft from your home or business premises may be covered when your presence is needed urgently to protect the property.
Official or admin problems
The policy also lists visa refusal, theft of essential identity papers shortly before departure, an unforeseeable administrative summons, university resit exams, adoption or IVF appointments, and some vaccination-related issues.
Other sudden serious events
The policy includes wording for other sudden, unforeseeable events outside your control that create an immediate and serious obstacle to leaving or doing the planned activity. Meetch decides whether the evidence meets that test.
Proof is important
This page is a guide, not a promise of payment. Keep medical notes, employer letters, police reports, transport evidence or other documents, because Meetch will ask for proof before accepting a claim.
Peace of mind before booking
The insurance is there to make booking feel easier when life is unpredictable. If you are unsure whether it suits your situation, contact Pure before you book and we can talk it through clearly.
Just let Pure Paragliding know by email that you are cancelling your session and are starting your claim with Meetch.
You must make the claim yourself. Meetch is a 3rd party and the insurance policy is between you and them so Pure Paragliding cannot make the claim for you.
Contact Meetch within 5 working days to start the claim.
